The first time I heard about it a year back, I thought it was some sort of a prank.
I heard about it again and again – someone trying using solar panels to make roadways.
Roadways, seriously?
Yes, it appears so.
There is a Dutch experiment running on this subject. In addition, there is an entrepreneur couple in the United States who are trying this out too.
I know most of you will be highly sceptical, I still am, but watch the video all the same. These folks are trying not just to put solar panels on roads, but to pretty much make them work like some small computers
At least some of them believe in this idea, as the Solar Roadways project raised over $2.1 million last year on a crowdfunding platform
