Voltage is the change in electric potential (meaning potential energy per unit charge) between two positions. The voltage is always measured between two points, for example between the positive and negative ends of a solar panel, or between a wire and ground. It is measured in volts. There are two types of voltage, DC voltage and AC voltage. Solar panel produce DC voltage.
